New Project starting in Rwanda in collaboration with Imperial College, London.
Primary focus shall be to facilitate local staff to develop and introduce an educational programme for essential care of the newborn.
A secondary aim will be to support local colleagues in introducing a basic respiratory support system using non-invasive nasal CPAP for low birth weight and preterm babies in the main neonatal centre in Kigali.
Over the next two years UK neonatal practitioners will visit Kigali to provide workshops and skills training, which shall include monitoring and audit.
